Chickens at Moorparks

There are more chickens in the world than any other bird. In fact, more than 50 billion chickens are reared annually as a source of food, for both their meat and their eggs. They usually spend their day foraging for food, scratching the ground looking for insects and seeds. I’m not sure why as Michele brings them tomato, cucumber, melon and lots of other treats. Our chickens have a wonderful lazy life!
Guests love watching them and also love having the freshest eggs you’ll ever try. Many of our younger guests, and not so young, like to join us in the chicken penn to help collect eggs. Hand feeding the chickens is always popular. Joining the chickens at Moorparks are the Indian runner ducks in their new home ‘The Waddle on Inn’
