As you descend the hill on your approach to Hartland Quay with the horizon of the Atlantic Ocean and the vast panorama from Lundy Island to Cornwall stretched ahead of you, a very warm welcome awaits. Where better to experience the Atlantic Ocean in all its beauty than Hartland Quay. From the clear, calm, blue seas to the raging fury of the huge breakers crashing with their full force against this tiny headland, there is nowhere in the British Isles more spectacular to visit.
Come inside to warm up with a good pub lunch on a cold day. Relax at a table outside in the sun and eat your meal looking out to sea. Sit on the Quay with a drink watching the sun disappear over the horizon or swim in the sea on a calm day. At low tide there is plenty of sand and fascinating rock pools for children to enjoy.
With access to the South West Coast Path both North and South from the Quay, it makes an ideal start/finish point for a wide variety of walks. Whether you enjoy a long, energetic walk, taking in the fresh sea air and stunning views, or a gentle stroll alongside the sea , the local area is abundant with fascinating wildlife, attractions and places to visit, ideal for all ages.
