Our self catering cottages are located in rural north Devon between Exmoor and Dartmoor and are perfect for families, couples and even solo vacationers. Whether you need a quick break or a much-belated holiday, we’re here to provide you with all of your holiday bliss.We have everything that you could ever want in your upcoming English countryside getaway. For those looking to relax, we have secluded, private accommodation that guarantees all your favourite home comforts. For the adventurous, there are many links to water sports, rock climbing, rambling and much more. We have plenty of wide open spaces as well as a herd of fuzzy friends to help feed and take care of.
Our holiday rentals are available for short breaks, weekend and mid week. (except during school holidays).

The last year or so hasn’t been great for all of us. Lots of people have been desparate for a change of scenery and you’re probably no different. Just think: you can wake up each morning of your stay in a cosy, warm cottage in rural DEvon. Then you’ll stroll into your comfortable living space and cook a hearty breakfast.Afterwards you have the full range of Moorparks Barn or Moorparks Cottage at your disposal. Step outside of your accommodation to find a fantastic patio area decked with picnic tables, chairs and even a BBQ. The garden space is surrounded by tall, lush hedges that ensure privacy for your family. You can also find a spacious storage shed, where you are free to securely store your cycle, fishing or golf gear. And for the kiddies, there are also garden games that can be used for hours of outdoor fun.

If you’re itching to explore more of the local region, then there are plenty of options for you to enjoy. We have close links to Dartmoor and Exmoor, as well as the stunning Devon coast. That’s not to mention the dozens of local attractions, walks and eateries that are closeby.

Both of our accommodation homes are beautiful, part of the farm buildings belonging to the grade II listed farmhouse, have been refurbished with luxurious, modern amenities. The rooms have been designed specifically to accommodate multiple guests and bustling families, with easy access across rooms and plenty of space to relax and unwind.

Moorparks is still an active farm that we run through a sense of love and compassion for the animals we look after. We are proud to have goats, alpacas and sheep, as well as a flock of chickens and ducks.We aim to promote first-hand experience into our rural farm work, and we allow our guests (of any age!) to come and meet our animals whenever they please. Children love the experience of handling young animals and learning about the faunae of their own countryside. Better yet, we offer visitors access to the eggs of our chickens and ducks, offering anyone who stays at Moorparks a truly authentic experience.

Self catering is the best way to enjoy your cottage holiday without any commitments or restrictions. In our cottages, you’ll never have to worry about privacy or getting in the way of hosts. Simply come and go as you please, with full access to a kitted-out kitchen, garden and comfortable bedrooms.Self catering also means you can eat what you want, whenever you want. That means no more missing out on English breakfast for you night owls! It also means that if you or a loved one have allergy or dietary requirements, you will have full control over your meals.
The surrounding area has a number of great pubs serving wonderful food and the local pub being less than a mile away.

Sun, sand and a slow pace are just the things needed to refresh yourself from your busy day-to-day life.The joy found in north Devon is why we came to create Moorparks Holiday Cottages in the first place. Years ago we visited Moorparks during a holiday and immediately fell in love—so much so that our house was up for sale just three days later!
We wanted to spread the joy that we get to experience every day in these precious and lush surroundings, which is why we continue to run our cottage getaways all these years later.

Self catering just means you do all of the catering whilst on holiday. You bring your own food, prepare and cook your meals.. A self catering property will provide a kitchen which should have all of the necessary facilities. Obviously whilst on holiday you may decide to go out to eat at local cafes and restaurants, this gives you the flexibility.
Self catering accommodation comes in various different guises, from camping to high end luxury houses. Usually associated with holidays and short breaks it indicates that there will be space for preparing, cooking and a dedicated dining area. Depending on the property you choose there may be a shared kitchen / kitchenette or private one.
The very minimum you should expect is a fully equipped kitchen with enough crockery and cutlery to cater for the amount of people staying It should be like being at home while you’re on holiday. We send out a list of what will be included in the kitchen prior to your arrival, hopefully this will save you bringing the kitchen sink!
Everything in your holiday let is private and exclusive to you during your stay. Each cottage has a private garden space, bedrooms, living space, kitchen and toilet facilities. Just like at home, everything is yours to privately use! There is, however, a communal storage shed which can be used by both cottages for bikes, golf clubs etc..
Yes! Self catering means that you are free to bring and cook all the food you normally enjoy at home. Our cottages are thoroughly cleaned after each stay, meaning they are safe to be used by those with allergies or dietary requirements. Supermarket deliveries can be arranged with most of the larger stores.
Both of our cottages have an outside garden, with garden furniture and somewhere to sit and eat in the warm summer evenings. Moorparks Cottage has a garden with decked area overlooking the paddocks and goats with views across to Exmoor on a clear day. Moorparks Barn has a very private, fully enclosed , garden with loungers. There is also a patio area with table and chairs for outside eating.

Your fur baby might be polite and well-behaved, but we cannot allow pets to stay at Moorparks because of our animals that live here and regular guests allergies. Around North Devon there seems to be more ‘Dog friendly’ accommodation than not, so we are catering for the ‘pet free’ holiday guests.
